Four WWII French Resistance fighters find themselves reunited after 30 years in order to fight crime and intrigue in Europe. As service veterans, they use their resources, guile and experience to become modern-day Robin Hoods ... steeling from criminals and distributing the spoils of their 'crimes' to the needy. Leader and Captain Tommy Devon, codename the 'elephant', ran a small jewellery business on the French Riviera. Lending his electronics expertise to the gang's cause is former American secret agent Stephen Halliday, codename the 'fox', now a New York business executive. Madame Manouche Roget, codename the 'leopard' ran a bar in Nice - an expert with explosives, she is also a safe-cracking expert. Rounding up the quartet is ex-Canadian Air Force Lieutenant Alec Marlowe, codenamed the 'tiger', his wizardry with mechanics keeps the show on the road.
